Cheesy Blogger submission - Watch Your Step!

This post is for a link up y buddies over at the Cheesy Bloggers.  They are calling for posts about clumsiness, injuries, uncoordination, you name it!

Now, I am a very clumsy person.  I am constantly finding bruises on me, half the time I don't know what I did to get them.  I stub my toes on things at least once a week, I've had my hand slammed in a car door, fallen up and down stairs, and I could go on and on.  Add in the vertigo I get all the time from my fibromyalgia, I'm just an accident waiting to happen.

The story I wanted to tell you guys is pretty funny, although I certainly didn't think so at the time.  This happened about 6 years ago, shortly after my husband and I moved into our house.  There is a cemetary that I pass on the way to and from work, that happens to be where several of my relatives are buried in.  This cemetary where my grandmother is buried in is not far from where we live and I was missing her one day, so I decided to swing by there after work to visit her gravesite.

Now it had been a long time since I had visited her gravesite so it took me awhile walking around to find her, but eventually I did.  I sat and talked to her for awhile, prayed and eventually got up to go to my car.

I had parked kinda far away, since I had not remembered where she was, so I set off across the grass to my car.  Next thing I know, I stepped into a hole that was just big enough for my foot to fit into and twisted the hell out of my ankle.  I heard a loud *SNAP* and screamed in pain as I fell down.  It took me a minute to work my foot out of the hole, but once I did I tried to get up.....wasn't happening and I was still way too far from the car for me to be able to crawl there to drive home.  What the hell was I gonna do?  No phone for me to call anybody, I was stuck there in the middle of a graveyard.  Just then, a few people came by to visit their loved ones, so I shouted over to them that I needed help.  A man came over, and I told him what happened.  He offered me his cell phone and I called Hubs.  The man was kind enough to help me to my car so I could drive the few miles home, and the Hubs and I went off to the ER.  No break, thank God but a severe sprain.  The *SNAP* I heard was the tendon.  They gave me drugs, wrapped me up and gave me crutches which I stayed on for 3 weeks.

At least it was still light out when this happened.  I don't know what I'd have done if it had gotten dark.  It would not have been a pretty sight, let me tell ya.

RIP Jani Lane - A Warrant Tribute

I grew up in the 80's and was a big fan of the 80's hair bands that were big during that time.
Warrant wasn't the most popular like Poison or Bon Jovi, but I was still a fan of their music.  "Heaven",  "Cherry Pie", and "Down Boys" were some of the songs I loved and I remember Jani being this awesomely cute blonde singer with the prettiest eyes ever.  His death came as a shock and I just wanted to do a short post with a couple of their videos in tribute to him.

Check em out....especially Heaven. Gorgeous song guys!
Until next time kids

Good Bloggers Pay it Forward

My lovely friend over at Fox in the City has nominated me for this wonderful award, thanks so much sweetie pie! It's very cool, and I'm always so flattered and humbled when I get an award.
As always though, there are rules to follow, so lets get down to it. The rules are that I'm supposed to present said award to 5 other bloggers that I like and tell you why I love those blogs and bloggers. Foxy followed the rules, our friend Jill decided rules were for squares but we love her anyway...the lil rebel :)

Here are my 5!

1.  She's my friend in RL, Alicia at Sh*t In My Yard
She is funny and friendly to the environment!

 2.  My bloggy friend Summer at Painy Days and Mondays
She is also a Spoonie/Fibro sufferer like me and I just love her strength and honesty...and sense of humor!

3.  Duckalicious at Batcrap Crazy
Need I say more?

4.  Ally at Fourth Grade Nothing
She writes about 80's nostalgia stuff that takes me back.....WAY back to when I grew up.  I just love it!

5.  And just cause I love all 3 of the ladies that started this blog, Cheesy Bloggers

All of the bloggers on this list have made me laugh my ass off, a few have made me cry, rethink my views on things and even taught me a few things.  Thanks to all u guys!
