I've been robbed!

Okay, not really. But.....

I lost a whole hour of my day...to daylight savings time. Sunday came, I slept in but got up as usual and had some stuff I wanted to do but didn't realize the time had changed.  Messed around the house until around 3pm (well, with the time change it was really 4) and then it hit me - "Hells bells, the frackin time change was today!"  Threw my whole damned day off.  I felt so.....violated and dare I say, dirty?  Didn't get anything done, the whole day was shot to the crapper.

To top things off, I forgot to fix the time on my alarm clock in the bedroom so I got up late on Monday....when my husband got me up at 10 till 7, (I have to be at work at 8) the first word out of my mouth was, "SHIT!"  It's never good to start a Monday saying, "Shit!" Was tired and in a crappy mood all day.  Took me 2 more days to get adjusted and finally I feel "normal" now.

Why can't we just pick a time and stay with it?  This changing the damned clocks ain't worth it.

What do you think?

I'm out of kilter the opposite way. I've been getting up EARLIER!

Why can't we just pick a time and stay with it?

Because THAT would make life so much easier!

First time here. Not sure how old you are, but I'm almost 46 and I find myself at that time of life where I wake up between 4 and 5 every morning, regardless of whether it's a weekend or the time changed or anything else. I have been thinking I might as well get some chickens and gather egss!!! I am starting to get used to it, though. At least I don't resent it as strongly as when it first started. :)

I hear ya - it sucks; although on the flip side I LOVE getting that extra hour in the fall. O yes.

I HATE the whole clock change thing - - - it is just useless. You cannot SAVE daylight, as it's name PROMISES.

I VOTE with you - - - pick one time or the other and STICK with it.

For YEARS when we lived in Indiana, we didn't participate in DST. Then some "powers that be" decided we HAD to join the rest of the world - - - so we did. More's the pity.

We opted out! Oh yeah, baby! The upside to being self employed and homeschoolers. The only time commitments we have are mid-afternoon, time changes don't effect us much at all.

And this is me sticking my tongue out at you suckers... :-P

But no worries, when you get your check every pay day, you can stick your tongue out at me. Are checks are a bit more random... like once a year... :-O
